I watched parts of the Murray match, but couldn’t get into it what with rain delays and being called away from the television. However, putting his opponent away in three, as did Djokovic and Federer, was impressive – the top three seeds and the most heavily favoured players proving they deserved it. I will say that Federer has had an easier draw than the other two.
Despite some curiosity about Andy Roddick as a commentator, I mainly watched the Battle of the Backhands to see if Wawrinka would back up the French Open win, but he seemed to waver in and out of form, while Gasquet was more consistent. I wish he’d won the fifth when he first had the chance, instead of dragging it out. Playing first always helped in that last set. I don’t think, despite how well he’s played at Wimbledon, that he’ll be able to beat Djokovic, but the Murray-Federer match should be interesting.
