I did mean to post soon after the Davis Cup weekend, as I'd seen bits of the doubles match and then Murray beating Querrey but never got around to it.
Since then, I've read Don't Judge a Girl by her Cover by Ally Carter, the third book in the Gallagher Girls series. It starts quite excitingly, with Cammie's friend Macey dragged into her politician father's run to be Vice President - a very high profile gig for a girl training to be a spy - and then something happens that puts both girls' training to the test. The book ends somewhat unsatisfyingly, and the plot and Cammie's wondering about the involvement of the mysterious Zach, whom she keeps crossing paths with, seeming to take up most of the book, but not quite grabbing me. Cammie's aunt is introduced, and wasn't quite executed well enough, although it was nice to read about how the current Gallagher Girls looked up to one of their alumni. Of course, most of the rules laid down for Cammie and her dorm mates end up getting broken for Very Good reasons. Although the writing zips along, with many witty touches, I wasn't entirely swept along with the transition into a series.
The next book I read will be a girls own one, it's just a matter of choosing one from the pile!
