feather_ghyllAs it's minutes before the Murray vs. Federer semi final, which I won't be able to watch, it's high time for me to talk about the first Slam of the year. I can't say too much, because I've been following it more by results than anything. I expected Willams, Sharapova and Azarenka to be in the mix towards the end, while acknowledging that the women's game is crazy. Li is obviously a quality player, and I hope nerves don't stifle the women's play.
On the men's side, I've been impressed that Murray hasn't dropped a set - I don't know if it means much when it comes to the end that Federer had a tussle with Tsonga and Djokovic was pushed so hard by Wawrinka. In fact, maybe the fact that Djokovic has a longer rest before the final may be a huge advantage. Poor Ferrer, he is a distant fourth on this surface. (I've become increasingly anxious about Nadal as his return is pushed back.) I love that Djokovic, Federer and Murray and their individual situations and ambitions are pushing each other, though. I wish that I could watch the match.
