US OPEN: But WHERE is it?

Live tennis seems to have disappeared from Eurosport. I presume it's because they're playing more and more matches on Sky's court, and at weird times too. I'm sorry, how is 1 a.m. a TV or player friendly time to play tennis? Perhaps there's a vampiric cabal at work here.

I sa down to watch the early afternoon round-up and found myself glaring at the Spanish and Ghanian under 17 football teams to get their act together and score a goal in extra time. I didn't care which side did it. Thankfully one of them did and we were spared penalty shoot outs.

Henin contained Serena with length and all the rest of the weapons at her disposal. Well, she did in their second set, anyway. I was surprised that Nadal went out at this stage, and although Novak 'Bouncy Bouncy' Djokovic is still in, he too has been getting pounded in long matches, because he hasn't found form. I DO NOT KNOW WHAT HAPPENED OVERNIGHT but I presume Federer (or Roddick) (who have both had much easier rides) were smiling wryly. Oh, I wish there'd been a way to see all the tantalising matches they were talking about at the end of yesterday's round up live. as it is, I'll have to make do with the edited highlights - except there's little tension because a quick calculation based on the score and the amount of time left usually tells you how its going to go. There had better not be any over-running football before the programme is due to start.

US Open Eurosport

Hi there, I too have noticed that the US Open has disappeared from British Eurosport, I'm disappointed as all that is left is the 90 minute slot at 1 o'clock.

I wondered if Eurosport had not bought the rights to the Quarters or Semis and that Sky had got it, but looking at the listings there's no live coverage on Sky either. This pacifies me slightly!

Hopefully the final will be on.

It seems really strange that both BE and Sky were showing the first week in reasonable depth, but not the second. I haven't checked the listings beyond this afternoon, and although the round up is all right, and I'm at home this week to catch it, I'd welcome more. The US Open's one of the four main tournaments of a pretty popular sport. Even with the difference in time zones, why aren't they giving it the same treatment as the Frehcn Open? BE, I mean.
