PERSONAL: Finding my Susans!
Oct. 4th, 2008 11:00 amAs I sit here waiting for the computer to open a document with a rough list of all the girls own books I won, and hoping the data isn't corrupted some how - oh, technology! - I'm going to go back to this morning's good news. A bag of my books was found in a relative's house. And in it were the Jane Shaw books that I knew that I owned but couldn't find (for nearly a decade!) I knew I'd read them, knew I had them somewhere, didn't subscribe to my mother's theory that I'd lent them to someone. And I couldn't really remember the titles, because most of them are parts of series, so they're all Susan Does Something Indistinguishable, so I suspect I may have a couple of doublers now. But still.
Also in the bag was Great Expectations, which I didn't miss. Now, if only I could locate my copy of Toby at Tibbs Cross, which has also been bugging me, and if only this dratted document would open.
